We are Assisting Hands Home Care serving Jackson County with our office in Lee’s Summit. We are a small, family-owned home care provider. Our motto is “Our Family Caring for Your Family”. Juliet is our general manager and she is masterful at matching caregivers with clients. She has a degree in social work and years of experience in providing home care. Karvel (her father) is the Director of Development. Sonja (her mother) manages initial client contact. Christina (her sister) is the Director of Marketing and Recruiting, and Jake (her brother-in-law) is the Director of HR. As a family, we strive to provide our clients the finest personalized non-medical home care, allowing them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
Karvel & Sonja Kofoed
Owner and Director of Development, brings over 30 years of professional business experience. He has owned and worked for many small businesses over the years with a broad range of management and financial oversight skills. He plays an integral role in the development and operations of Assisting Hands Lee’s Summit. His wife, Sonja, helps with client assessments, caregiver training, and everything in between.
Juliet Meine
Owner, Director of Operations and General Manager. Juliet has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and brings 5+ years of work experience with the geriatric population and experience navigating the complexities of Dementia. She has a passion for caring for those who need home care services and a deep understanding of how to treat and care for both clients and caregivers. Her compassionate nature, love of caregiving, and experience as a caregiver make her uniquely qualified as an excellent leader and resource for clients and caregivers. She is committed to being the best at providing meaningful and unique home care service to clients of Assisting Hands Lee’s Summit.
Jacob Hall
Owner, Director of Human Resources, and Recruitment Specialist. He brings over 10 years of professional and managerial experience, including 6 years of human resource duties of recruiting, training, and hiring experience. His managerial experience also includes key roles in the development and implementation of customer service and satisfaction programs. He is uniquely qualified to manage the behind-the-scenes operations of taking care of employees and clients of Assisting Hands Lee’s Summit.
Christina Hall
Owner and Director of Marketing. She brings over 6 years of professional experience including management, sales, marketing and customer service. She has a passion for people and making their home care experience meaningful is her top priority. She plays critical roles in the business development and marketing programs to ensure that all who are in need of home care services will have the opportunity through Assisting Hands Lee’s Summit.
Sharon Lukowski
Staffing Coordinator and Office Administrator. Sharon brings over 30 years of experience in CNA work, home care, hospice, and senior living. She has experience managing staff at a well-known assisted-living community. She feels that God’s plan has led her to serve seniors through home care. She is dedicated to taking care of both clients and caregivers by creating the best schedules and matchups. She works tirelessly to make our office run smoothly.
